Hospital Programs

The Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Chapter has an active committee of volunteers who work closely with the staff of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) to ensure quality care of our hospitalized members.

We provide monthly luncheons, shopping trips, and attendance to sports events and concerts in Fort Lauderdale and all of South Florida. The committee visits all members and provides canteen books and peer counseling to those who need it. We also assist the SCI/D veterans residing in the VAMC nursing home.
